The Cardio Z App calculates z-scores for many cardiac structures. These include valves (tricuspid / mitral / aortic / pulmonary), cardiac chambers (LV, RV and LA dimensions) and vessels (pulmonary artery and its branches). The full range of structures for which z-scores are generated depends upon the reference data selected. Aorta measurements are found in their own subsection.
The Cardio Z App calculates z-scores for many M-mode measurements. These include TAPSE (Tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion), and many of the standard measurements (IVSd, LVEDD, LVESD, LVPWd). There is also the facility to generate z-scores for some of the less frequently used measurements (RV diastolic dimension, IVSs, LVPWs,
The Cardio Z App calculates z-scores for many aortic measurements. The include the aortic valve, sinuses, sino-tubular junction, ascending aorta, aortic arch, aortic isthmus and aorta at the diaphragm. The full range of reference points available is dependent upon the selected refrerence data.
The Cardio Z App calculates z-scores for the coronary arteries at most useful positions. These include measurements of the Left Main Coronary artery, the Proximal Circumflex, Proximal Left Anterior Descending and the Right Coronary Artery at multiple positions. The range of reference points available depends upon the reference data selected, and one offers the facility to use Aortic Valve size, rather than BSA, as the body size parameter.
A variety of formulas and online tools have been published with the aim of assisting in decision making in infants with critical aortic stenosis as to whether a single ventricle repair or biventricular repair should be undertaken. Cardio Z makes existing tools easier to access without the need to make manual calculations.
The cardio Z App calculates Z-scores for many fetal echocardiographic parameters. These include cross-sectional measurements of the size of cardiac chambers, valves and great arteries.
The cardio Z App calculates Z-scores for many tissue Doppler parameters. This includes age specific z-scores for tissue Doppler velocities and the E / e’ ratio.
The cardio Z App calculates Z-scores for Tissue Doppler derived time intervals. These include derived indices such as the myocardial performance index (which is calculated for the user), Isovolumetric contraction time (IVCT), the Isovolumic relaxation time (IVRT) and the ejection time (Et).
The cardio Z App calculates Z-scores for pulsed Doppler measurements. These include tissue Doppler velocities, time intervals and derived indices such as the myocardial performance index and E / e’ ratio.
The Cardio Z App calculates z-scores for blood pressures, and is appropriate for blood pressures obtained in a clinical setting (ambulatory blood pressures may be available as a future update).
The Cardio Z App calculates z-scores for body size parameters, as well as generating accurate centile values. Two large international data sets are supported.
The Cardio Z App supplies the age-specific 2nd and 98th centiles for a broad range of ECG parameters by a variety of researchers. Z-scores are not generated due to the skew of the data sets.
